The mission of the Lake Country Marketing Council is to promote orderly and efficient development of the economic, physical and social elements of its region. By assisting business and industry, to chose a location site where the company can grow and prosper. Our goal is to make each corporate citizen of the region a strong employer that enhances the economic base of the area.

The lake country region is located in south-central Virginia, in excellent proximity to large regional markets. The region is served by an interstate highway and several U.S. highways which provide excellent access to markets or suppliers. The region, comprised of Brunswick, Halifax and Mecklenburg Counties, plus twelve towns, has an abundance of resources including educational/workforce facilities, industrial and residential sites, medical services and outdoor recreational facilities. Bounded by 1,100 miles of shoreline on its southern border, the Lake Country Region truly hosts an outdoor paradise.
