Type Abbreviations (In order of priority):
SI - Special Industrial Prospect Projects - Maps/GIS data used by the SPDC and County economic development personnel for a specific industrial prospect. (Projects not listed on this site.)
SP - Special Paid Projects - Maps/GIS data projects that are contracted and paid for by the locality. GA and ED projects may take precedent over these when a deadline is near.
GA - Grant Application Projects - Maps/GIS data used directly in, or in the assistance of applying for and administering grants.
ED - Economic Development Projects - Maps/GIS data used to promote economic development (typically major industry) in the region and localities. Includes maps and GIS data for: industrial parks, county-sponsored industrial sites, major commercial development areas, and enterprise zone incentive areas.
CD - Comprehensive Planning & Demographics - Maps/GIS data used in the development of comprehensive planning, and demographic data requested by the Counties/Towns of the District. Also includes those projects dealing with voting districts and zoning.
UT - Utilities/Infrastructure Projects - Maps/GIS data for the mapping and location of physical features such as water lines, sewer lines, hydrants, buildings, etc. Also includes GPS mapping of these features.
EP - Educational Projects - Maps/GIS data requested by the District's schools and school boards, used for the advancement of education in the District.
TD - Tourism Development - Maps/GIS data used in the development of tourism in the region. Includes visitors maps, general road maps, and other tourism-related themes.
LR - Other Locality Request - Maps/GIS data requested by the Counties and Towns that do not fit into any of the above categories.
PR - Private or Individual Use Projects - Maps/GIS data requested by citizens of the District. These are the lowest priority projects.
